About Ethnomusicology

Ethnomusicology is the interdisciplinary study of all types of music from all cultures. Ethnomusicologists study the sounds of music within particular cultures and events as well as people's ideas and beliefs about music. They explore music's role in human life, analyze relationships between music and culture, and study music cross-culturally.
